Isuzu VehiCross. I always thought this thing was awesome as a kid (i.e., 14 years old and just about to start driving).

I have not and I would not be able to drive it anywhere near its limits even if I did. Of course it’s still fun on the streets. Anything fast is fun. But is it $225k more fun on the streets (i.e., under 75mph) than a Golf GTI; probably not.

I’d take this over a GT3 RS because I think you can have 2X the fun. The honest truth is that 99% of drivers cannot utilize a GT3 RS to its limits, even on a closed circuit track. This Dakar is still a ridiculously fast car on a track; anybody who argues otherwise is absolutely full of it. But it gives you that option

Please do not buy anyone you love a $33 five knife set.

Wife, 1 kid and 1 60lb dog. I’d like a 4 door Golf.

Seems to be mirroring the original GM Hummer plan. Start BIG. Create a “midsize” (probably based on an existing truck platform), and ultimately end up with a “small” Hummer based on some sort of crossover. I feel like this happened before, and it wasn’t good.

You get the same thing in the nicer suburbs around Detroit (Royal Oak, Birmingham). $300,000 AMG G-Wagons next to clapped out hoopdies.

I got a Charger Daytona with the yellow guards for a rental in Hilton Head over Thanksgiving last year. It both stuck out and fit in on the Island. Was hilarious to drive around. My 5 year old loved it.

If we have to explain it, you cannot afford it.

So, given the corruption and powered connections of Putin’s cronies, is there a chance this is still some other oligarch being provided FSO security protections?

Le plan

The rule changes were intended to make it MORE competitive, but that doesn’t mean F1 is suddenly going to have Indy car-like parity between teams. There are going to be 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier teams for the foreseeable future - that’s been part of F1 for decades.

Please, rich people, just buy art instead. Leave the cars to be driven.”

Drum brakes. Independent front suspension on larger SUVS/Trucks, as opposed to solid axles.

The ‘75 Corvette that made something like 160 hp.

If I may counter:

In no particular order, and for “normal” drivers, I would say: wheels, tires, and sound system.

Strange . . . drivers, teams, and fans are usually so welcoming to adaptation and easily see the long term benefits of change. Given these vague statements based on a few drivers’ short simulator experiences, I think we can all safely say that F1 racing as we know it is dead.

After my black 1999 XJ 4x4 was stolen and totaled, I replaced it with a grey 2000 2WD XJ.

You need to fix the slanderous header for the 2.0 VW. The non-turbo was a waste of iron.
