“But they’re also pretty shitty beer-storage devices.”
Yeah, that’s pretty cool. My dad was UDT Frogmen, so he did a couple lock-outs from Subs. But I know he was not a big fan and I’ve heard him say he doesn’t know how sailors did it for months on end.
My father spent about two years on the USS Essex carrier between ‘61 and ‘64. I sent this article to him with the question of how many of these terms were familiar and how many were more recent additions. This was his response:
I used to live in Washington DC, which requires annual emissions tests. My 1997 Volvo V90 wagon (because Jalop) repeatedly failed the computer diagnostic test, which I guess they run to determine smog emissions or something (not really sure). I was told during four different visits that it was not passing emissions…
I will start:
McQueen had a great car collection, but he was really about the bikes. He had something near 200 motorcycles at one point.

Even worse is when you ask them to put it on and the response is, “those things kill more people than they save.” NO, you idiot. That’s sharks (and maybe bees).

Very cool. But, What’s the suspension/track travel like? I’d like to see it over something more formidable than a frozen lake. Bumps? Dunes? Trails?
Your opinion is completely invalid for one reason: you refer to Jay Leno as "hilarious."

You know Life-Jet is German because the couple in the video (from 1997) are dressed like trendy Americans would be in 1987, or how trendy Russians are dressed in 2015.
I was about 1/2 a mile back from this today. Drove by the whole scene on the access road to try to bypass, but couldn't get a good photo. Multiple semis were on fire, as well as passenger vehicles. If I had left my house three minutes earlier, I probably would have been in the middle of this.
It's a slow death.
Best car chase scenes ever. Just (re)watched Ronin for about the 374th time the other day on Netflix.
