I couldn’t even finish the freaking election. Like everyone else with half a brain and a working heart, I was sobbing myself sick. So nope. No cable news.

I’m lucky to be an older Millennial. I’m young enough to have had a cell phone as a teenager, but old enough not to have had a smart phone and social media. The phone was basically for emergencies. It’s not something I was wedded to.

I’ve had a few location enforced phone bans and they’ve been glorious. In a few weeks, I won’t be allowed to have my phone or other electronic devices for close to three days. I’m giddy with the prospect. I’m an oldish person and I remember being confounded by cell phones and almost crying when I killed my Blackberry.

Right? I stopped the day after, too, and I’ve been SO much better to be around. I hadn’t had a good nights sleep literally in a year-and-a-half at least. I practically sleep like a baby, now. My blood pressure was borderline hypertension and is now down to regular levels, I’ve lost weight and I’m nowhere near as tired.
