I think she's had a small stroke. Honestly, it's hard to tell. How do you know for sure when Bleu cheese has gone bad?

I honestly want to know how well that new venture of her's is doing. I kind of feel that that information would allow me to assess the overall mental health of america.
I feel very sorry for you. Blink twice if you have been locked in the basement.
Not to mention the things he has said on the record. "Pussified nation?" "Feminism/hell?" Really? He doesn't sound like a wonderful man to me. He sounds like a two-bit huckster and every inch a misogynist. I wouldn't talk to him over a back fence, let alone listen to one of his god-awful sermons.
what about the specific allegations made in the letter regarding Mark's shitty behavior? Care to comment on any of that?
That's what appalls me about people like Beverly LaHaye, too: women who use actively use their faith to undermine other women!
I know this may seem out of place, and for that I apologize. But someone on here was offended by commenters openly identifying as christian, as if their existence somehow tarnished this site. This was my (long!) response.
I guess I should have mentioned that Mark and his wife wrote the book TOGETHER. so Mark was like, "my wife sinned by cutting her hair without asking me," and then she pretty much chimes in with, "Yes, it's true, I'm a failure as a wife." It was horrific to read.
True story: my Christian sister and some of her friends read his book on marriage before they got married themselves. I saw it on her bed one day and decided to take a look.
Very interesting read. Thanks for the link.
Good friggin riddins.
This article from a local paper, The Stranger, explains the background issues.
I know far too many smart people who go to this guy's church. I don't understand the appeal.
I hate that they've taken over that pretty old church with the dome on 5th Ave downtown. Didn't that used to be Unitarian or something? I don't remember. Anyway, it's a beautiful old building and I wish it had something better in it than this weirdo church.
I thought the same thing when I heard it. It really just did not ever make sense. I MIGHT have MAYBE given him a small SLIVER of credence to his story if he had ever at any point before pulling that trigger called 911, or hell, even if he did immediately after, but yeah, no, it really just doesn't add up.
Making these cases all about "racism in america" only serve to perpetuate inequality by making POC "victims of the system" who need a different set of rules.
While some elements of your comments are valid, you overlook the very significant real world consequences of moments like the Zimmerman verdict for people of color. It would be amazing to be able to view it as a case with a particular set of facts that may or may not have caused you to be surprised or not at the…
Of course it's not vindication. And had he killed a young black man, I've no doubt the sentence would have been different because many people can't get past the idea tht their very presence is a threat, and people would have much more readily bought the notion that he feaed for his life.
Well. Thank fucking goodness.
The existence of white gang members does not erase the broader cultural/social recognition that gangs are largely associated with POC, who also happen to tend toward being in lower socioeconomic classes. You cannot cleanly separate the two into neat little boxes just because you're uncomfortable with the idea of…
