The underlining was the best part, actually, because it meant that you went through the effort of screenshotting her post and drawing a pointless red line — and yet you STILL misread the apology. You’re like a double-dipped dipshit.

She didn’t apologize IF she offended people, she apologized FOR offending people, you smirking jackass. If you weren't so ready to pop off in a pique of sanctimony, you would've grocked on the difference.

I’m confused by how many men are apparently confused by this.

I’m pretty sure that Gus sent an unconscious Mike to the doctor that makes an appearance in season 4 of Breaking Bad (who treated Gus after the self-induced poisoning scheme that finished off the cartel).

I wish I could remember the name, but Saul’s shenanigans were based on a real case where a defense attorney did pretty much the same thing. . . . only, I believe, the witness was a cop who was none too happy to have identified the wrong person. If I remember correctly, the attorney got in trouble with the bar for

This is the weirdest Kafka adaptation I've ever seen.

Mike does too many ‘good’ things in Breaking Bad for me to agree that he’s an amoral shell of a man. Besides mentoring Jesse, he’s shown to have a loving relationship with his granddaughter. He gives Lydia a second chance despite her ordering a hit on him because, it’s implied, he doesn’t want to hurt her daughter

Of the four main characters (Jimmy, Kim, Mike, and Nacho), the only one whose story is getting a shrug from me is Mike’s. As far as I can tell, he’s essentially unchanged from his appearance in Breaking Bad—with the exception of his reservations about working with Gus, which we know will eventually be resolved. I

I’d be (unpleasantly) surprised if Kim is killed by the cartel. She loves Jimmy, but she’s not stupid and she has one hell of a spine. She’s not going to follow Jimmy down that path. She’s also too strong of a character and the show’s writers are too good to let her get fridged.

What, are you trying to tell me that suicide isn't the ultimate solution? As if!

With the caveat that yes, it’s a cheesy and predictable series, Goku isn’t the victor for most of the major fights. Piccolo defeats Raditz (with an assist from Goku) and Gohan defeats Vegeta and Cell. Goku really only wins the Buu and Frieza fights.

Between Watchmen and the upcoming adaptation of Lovecraft Country, it seems like HBO has already staked their ownership of lofty speculative fiction about racism. No need to fill their bench with a poorly executed fantasy written by a couple of tone-deaf hacks.

I don’t know what part of this thread is making my eye twitch more:

As a Native American, I’ve become so inured to lazy and racist depictions of NA in media that the Kimmy Schmidt thing generated naught but an exhausted eyeroll. That being said, it was still bullshit.

Did Steinem actually exclude transwomen from the feminist movement? My understanding was that she supported transwomen, but didn’t support surgery because she felt that the whole idea that women had to look or be a certain way was an idea forced upon women by the patriarchy. Which has a little bit of truth to it even

This was so good. I was grinning like an idiot for the entire duration of the David Byrne segment.

I loved it, but there was a lot about this recent adaptation of Watchmen that was frustrating. Lube Man was only one of many irritants:

When Trieu started monologuing, I knew for certain that her plan was going to fail. If only her dad had cared to impart a little fatherly wisdom.

Whoever it was in previous discussions that called Veidt being in the statue, good work. I thought it was so far out of left field at the time that it couldn’t possibly be true.

Well, now that HBO has quietly put Confederate to bed, how else do you expect them to clumsily handle the topic of racism?
