I don’t have beef with her acting abilities, but as a singer, she’s lacking the utter strength and emotive quality that defined Judy Garland. Garland may never have had formal training, but she had an amazing instrument in her voice. Zellweger can carry a tune interestingly enough - it’s not the same.

She doesn’t. But as someone else commented hopefully they’ll have dubbed Judy’s voice in.

I’ll admit she does capture her in that shot, though we’ll see about the rest. I liked Chicago, but I feel like she’s got nothing on Judy’s raw power. Don’t even come near this song with any nasally whining.

I have a feeling this will be one of those cases future lawyers learn about in class. There’s going to be a lot of fingerpointing between the engineers and the various contractors involved.

I’m sure the people who died from this collapse and their families would be glad that it was engineered with such vigor instead of you know, rigor and discipline and a thoroughness that doesn’t fucking get people killed.
