We need a serious re-calibration in our justice system in favor of the victims of violent crime. So much effort is placed into the welfare of violent offenders, rather than victims. The cynical side of me suspects it’s because we have an industry tasked with “rehabilitation”.

Maybe we should work on manufacturing headlights that don't cost around $1000 a piece.  When all these adaptive technologies are all sold as one sealed unit, they're awfully expensive.
