I appreciate this article. But I still don’t think I’m going to start buying OEM parts exclusively from the dealer just yet. They’re just too expensive. I think I’ll continue to give aftermarket parts a good look over, and just use my own judgement to determine if it’s ok or not.

Most of these cameras run off of an Accessory circuit, which turns on/off with the ignition. But you could easily hardwire yours to a circuit that stays on all the time.
