They could have kept the name and just change their logo to a potato.
Really different story than I expected concerning the times, but something I can really see. It’s kind of funny, because I’ve also read a lot of stories about Cruise being really great to the crew and really providing a fun energy to the set. Not that that in any way contradicts this account here, but rather how it…
“Gravity hates this one weird trick.”
I assume it’s via the usual method of decelerating gradually rather than impacting the ground at high speed?
Coughachella.
I have some ideas for names!
Tip: Never stage dive into a socially distanced mosh pit.
It's a very very very fine house, with two cats in the yard.
You’ve also got the pure delight that is Carly Rae Jepsen.
Seems a weird time for this, but I did always think there was potential for more Jodie stories. One thing I thought was interesting was that on a fundamental level she agreed with Daria on a lot of issues, but she had a completely different strategy for how to deal with her frustrations, which was pretty much to be so…
“Uh, Ms. Landon? There’s a gentleman here to see you, and when I asked him to stop leaning on my desk he just said, ‘Rrrrr! Feisty!’”
As someone who has re-watched Daria recently, Jodie is absolutely the most fully fleshed out character outside of Daria, Daria’s family, and Jane. She might not get quite as much screen time as Brittany or Kevin, but that’s because 95% of the time they are just there to say/do something stupid for Daria to react to.…
So now it’s just Jodie, not Daria & Jodie? I hope we’ll at least see some of the other characters as supporting cast.
Can’t wait to love this show and then see it ruined by the inability to maintain music rights!
Aside: I actually went to school with Anne Murray’s kids for a couple of years (I was a few grades ahead). Never got to meet Anne but the kids were pretty level-headed. You’d never know that their mom was world famous talking to them.
I’ve never been a big fan, but I still remember the cultural impact of JLP when it came out during my high school years. It cannot be overstated how huge this album was. The singles were on the radio and TV almost non-stop, and almost seemed like everyone and their mothers were listening to it, which is part of the…
You’ve already won her over, in spite of her. And don’t be surprised if she falls...head over feet.
