No, this is clickbait, and the type of fearmongering that causes airlines to rebrand the planes. Non-clickbait approaches would be to start with the article that talks about the changes, but then people might not be afraid enough to actually click on these articles.

I’ve been here for over a decade.

Then you should know better?

It seems like he’s upset about phrasing it as “how to know you’re flying a MAX.” It comes off as foreboding, rather than just discussing that the airlines are, somewhat understandably, deemphasizing the marketing name. Even if it’s also, understandably, a bit distasteful.

Hey, lets spread unfounded fear and panic for CLICKS!!!!

or... educate your fucking self and then make an effort to educate your readers.

this plane has been under more scrutiny, stem to stern, than any aircraft in the last 30 years. the software changes have been examined in an unprecedented level of detail.

Isn’t that what’s become of Jalopnik?

I don’t care if it’s the same old thing. It’s the same old thing that keeps bringing me back for the 10 years I’ve been watching their various shows, reading their books and following their antics. I even paid for motor trend TV to rewatch the old TG shows.

I remember when Jalopnik used to enjoy and encourage car culture

Okay Bimmer.

Marc is indeed dominant but he also crashed out and broke his arm while trying to win this championship. He had his shot, so there is no need for an asterisk.

IMHO Harley had nothing to do with Vance and Hines winning all those races other than providing sponsorship money. V&H are just good as proven by AMA Superbike Championships and numerous Pro Stock Championships when Terry was riding and Byron was building

They bailed out of regular race series because of the Japanese.

So, you might say he went on a “Kessel run”?

If you check out the last year-full of episodes of the Two Enthusiasts podcast, one of the hosts (Quentin) worked for Alta through its downfall, if you can find him he might be a good source of info. He also worked for Michael Csyzk IIRC.

The LiveWire is hardly mediocre, or even aimed at boomers. But yeah, it’s a bummer that Harley didn’t invest in Alta. I’d love to eventually get the story from the people who were there when it happened.

No, I’m not, I’m just a person with 10+ years of professional writing experience and literal awards. He’s virtue signaling instead of providing an actual review for the product, which he was provided in good faith. Notice how the Xbox Series X review doesn’t feel the need to bring this crap up? We understand that

This wasn’t even slightly poignant, it was just really terrible writing with a complete lack of knowing your audience. It essentially assumes that you’re a bad person for wanting to get a console during a time of crisis and almost even implies that people aren’t fighting for their lives in this country when COVID

Can someone please put the writers name on the new layout so I do not accidentally give a click, and accidentally give this twit any credit for his abhorrent writing?

While I absolutely condemn her statements, I do not support cancel culture. Unless the statements are related to her job, it is disgusting to stalk her everywhere and demand she be fired in perpetuity. She is not some walking caricature. She is a human being with some very troublesome opinions, but those opinions are
