Limes are usually half the price at the supermercado as well.

Just watched about an hour of Shawshank yesterday on cable WITH commercials. I’ll never not watch it.

I also agree with very much of this list, and I’d like to add, without being a commercial, that a handful of these movies can be seen on the big screen through Fathom Events. I just watched Casablanca yesterday at the

Absolutely both my sister and I ate Nesquik. However, like the cinnamon challenge, it can cause choking...don’t inhale it!

Also, the key to making a good chocolate milk with Nesquik (which I have the “lower sugar” version of in my pantry right now, is to put the Quik in first, fill the glass about halfway and stir like

I wish you the best and really enjoyed reading your essay.  That’s it.  Best of luck to you as you continue moving forward in your sobriety.  I look forward to hearing more from you...particularly the small town and your cat.  More about the cat.

I laughed and I’m not even a dog.

More Betty White and hot dog news.

Not food related, but Betty White related...this has been making its rounds on Facebook.

In college, we called it Hepatitis Alley so you aren’t wrong.

My mom calls those “Iowa Potatoes.”  I’m guessing that’s because she’s from Iowa.

Hi, I’m late to this party but I’ll share my own story. My parents are in their 70's but live in another state. They tell us NOTHING. I called my dad randomly one day and was all, hey, what’s going on? And he’s all, well, I had a pretty eventful day yesterday and proceeds to tell me this whole story about falling and

My mother allowed me to go at 13 but informed me that it would be my LAST time and further I was not to knock on any doors after either 8 or 9 pm. I can’t remember now.

Google it and then the number will go up even higher...

I thought the same. I had to scroll back up to see the date. I’m like, which pandemic is he talking about? Ebola? That didn’t affect theater take...then I went back up and was like 2019? This happened then?

In CA, you have to carry those PTO hours because when someone quits, you have to pay them out so they are definitely a liability. They cleared out thousands of hours before 12/31 so I imagine that they entered the new year a little lighter.

I am currently sitting in front of a project plan that has an end date of 05/2023.  If they want to go faster, we need parallel paths which means more headcount.

I love this approach.  The philosophy used to be that if we just sucked it up and did all the work that they would just give us a bigger contract out of the goodness of their hearts.  Now, the client is forced to make choices between projects and prioritize things as they come up.  It’s a breath of fresh air.  If you

Similar case here.  My management wants the client to feel the squeeze.  If they want more work, then they can augment the contract.

Our company WANTS us to use PTO. They don’t want to carry it on their books. One year the agency I worked for forced us to take 3 PTO days between Christmas and New Years Day so they could pull all of those hours off of their books.

Indeed!  We do a bar crawl every time we visit and try to get the particular drink that the bar is known for when we go.  We’ve found some pretty cool places that were off the beaten path that we try to go back and visit.  Bar Tonique is one that comes to mind, although I am not sure if that is still considered off

Whenever we go to New Orleans, I order the cursory gin fizz at the Roosevelt Hotel bar.  After I finish that, I always go to a grasshopper.  It’s fun.
