Yeah I’m 6'1" and hover around a 36" waistline and I’m still overweight (and working on it). Kinda insane <40" is being called “thin people”. I think the author of this article doesn’t want to admit that 40" is the average because the USA has an obesity issue.

Seriously, go find me a ride that DOESN’T have specific height, weight, etc. requirements to account for safety and just the simple fact of how the thing was designed.

Cracks me up some people want to paint a 40" waist as average. There’s a healthy middle ground between outright shaming people for being fat, and pretending being obese is healthy and desirable.

100% agree that the health issues associated with obesity are a social problem. You’ve left out poverty, though. The “real bread” you mention is a lot more expensive than the less nutritious bread with added sugar.

Agreed. About 36" waist currently as a guy and classify as overweight/borderline obese. Our increased sizes have become normalized to a terrifying degree.

Anything heavier, and Lakitu can’t lift up your cart and return it to the race track.

While I think they probably should have designed this to be more accommodating, but less than 40" waistline isn’t “thin”, at least for dudes.

Source: I’m around 38" and I’m a bit of a fat fuck.

Rides have requirements, height, weight, whatever.  Don’t put the target on your own back just because you think it’s unfair.  My kids have thought it unfair that they couldn’t ride a roller coaster because they weren’t tall enough, but there’s nothing to be done about it.

Yeah fair. Like, I love Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time to death but to someone who didn’t play them in the 90s it’s harder to recommend. The SNES games, on the other hand, are still great.

Just my (uneducated) opinion: it would be hard to project the air of professionalism and gravitas if I’m conversing with my colleagues as a cartoon avatar, and they are too. If it’s a live meeting, I can note body language and adjust. Conversely, if a Teams call, I can focus on tone and sounds of disagreement or

It’s a sport...you are supposed to be pissed if you think you are going to win and you lose. Who cares if he breaks his controller? He didn’t get violent with people, just his own property.

ok but were not vulcans. do you expect everyone to bottle up their feelings so you dont feel bad?

Your ignorance doesn’t make you right

It is absolutely delusional to think CEOs do nothing.

No one cares to engage with fucking reality here and just wants to shout “shareholders” or “corporations”.

Why should I?

Peeps aint gonna like it but your right.

So then why was he rewarded for hiring 80 thousand people?

Shareholders get paid through a dividend based on what they have invested, and CEO’s manage the company

Apparently not sense they are stopping development of Halo
