I would go as far as saying any increased playtime*can* help increase sales. I have purchased games that I feel worthy of my money after trying them for a few hours. Those purchases would not have happened otherwise.

I don’t get the hate for the motion controls. Just a quick flick of the wrist would do. TBH i don’t remember much of the game but I certainly remember hating it less than wind waker.

Some sports translate better to video games than others. Golf, tennis are the easiest I think. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy those wii sports games. But for sim type Pro Evolution by far is the most fun I’ve had pretending to be an athlete.

I dunno man. They’re French. Not saying they aren’t racist but from my experience they tend to be more accepting of diversity. Not sure if it just surface thing or the guilt from colonialism but seem okay enough.

Very simple solution. Don’t make potentially offensive jokes/statements to folks you don’t know. Keep your crap to yourself and those in your circle. Some people take no issue with race jokes/statements, some do. Play it safe and all will be well.
