You can CLAIM asylum. That doesn't mean you are granted asylum. The act of them crossing the border and asking for asylum is legal. You don't get granted asylum before you claim it.

Instead of going after the migrants, go after those who ultimately benefit from them, like, say, the Trump organization, anyone who doesn’t pay a living wage, forcing the public to save on groceries, hotel stays, eating out, etc., investors in military contractors who benefit from wars and propping up…
