Nah, just the other day he was gibbonscreaming at me that Warren supporters have been attacking him in sexist and racist ways online.

You can also substitute in “election” for impeachment.

His supporters think Michelle Obama is a man in drag. What sane adult gives a fuck what his supporters think?

Happily, it appears not!

The poster above has the correct non-emotive take, but there is indeed a small part of me that wouldn’t at all object to seeing Kellyanne Conway paraded down the street bald and hissed at.

As a more clever writer than I opined elsewhere, firing Comey from his job rather than from out of a canon certainly let him off the hook.

I honestly don’t give a flying fuck what the GOP and Trumpsters say or do; it’s all the same argle-bargle ass-covering bullshit for the rubes anyways. (Presuming they don’t actively harm the person, which is a big presumption given Trump’s violent base.)

The nice thing is that if the impeachment articles include emoluments, as they damned well should, Trump’s tax records will be another fine dish on the smorgasbord.

Oh, no argument here.

The level of IQ this letter is aimed at is actually terribly depressing, isn’t it?

It won’t be as rough as the past 3 years, actually.

Pelosi has always been a very astute vote counter and whipper — party insiders know this, and it’s why she’s held the position for so long despite her increasing unpopularity with Dem voters. My assumption is that she finally felt solid on getting the necessary Dem votes in favor of impeachment.

The thing is, Trump’s base is just one giant seething id. The GOP doesn’t “trigger the libs” the way Trump does, so they have no use for the GOP.

The beauty is that if the whistleblower speaks directly to Congress and details the complaint, the danged transcript is unnecessary. Also, the Ukraine surely has recordings of the call, right?

From what I was just reading, the whistleblower’s lawyer has apparently contacted both Congress and the Senate and said s/he is ready to speak to them directly. So that’s good news.

LOL I am ... struggling for an actual mental visual of this.

Yeah, but the narrative of Biden’s involvement is so goddamned spurious that there’s really nothing to “protect” him from.

And most of those who just hopped on are moderates involved in various national security circles, so that’s definitely a good sign.

Yeah — a bunch of moderates involved in various defense & national security committees announced their support last night, which must have been the tipping point.

Nope. Impeachment is the constitutional brake on executive corruption, not, as so often invoked, a tool for either party to use at the timing that will benefit it most. The Dems will get good mileage out of this, no fear.
