Heck yeah. I’m now in my mid-fifties and looking back, sometimes cannot believe the time I’ve wasted worrying about what random strangers might think. I could have cured scurvy or written a bestselling novel! Fuck that noise forever.

I love how he also doesn’t understand that educated adult professionals can usually make their own damned working hours and aren’t on punchcards.
This poor commenter appears to believe that a “consensus” means that the people in thick glasses, high-water pants and white lab coats all showed up to vote at a polling place, rather than the obvious meaning of their many thousands of studies reaching similar factual conclusions.
Thank you, this is excellent.
Christ on a crutch, how many published official attestations of every single institution where Warren ever studied or got a job do you need to see before you actually absorb the fact that she never “gamed affirmative action”, because she never applied as, nor was considered by any institution to be, anything but white?
According to what the WFP published, yes they do; quite a bit more. How is this not patently obvious to these conspiracy-mongers? Entitlement is a helluva drug, I guess.
There are Sanders supporters in the threads above saying offensive and stupid things like Warren “gamed affirmative action” to get a job or not-so-subtly implying that the racist harassment the WFP activists are experiencing isn’t real because it’s not from “true scotsman” Sanders people; no need for hypothetical…
They said Elizabeth Warren got “60%” of the vote, but that’s with 56 of the voters individually accounting for just under 1% of the vote apiece. So...that 60% figure does not represent the vote counts.
What I don’t get is how you somehow know different facts about what the vote count “really” was?
Ugh, I guess I assumed the critters were already dead when he found them by trawling along the ocean floor; naive of me. Agreed, that’s a ghoulish and cruel pastime.
Honestly? Laugh at them and move forward calmly. These authoritarian stooges fear the laughter of fellow adults more than anything.
Still shuddering after that Deadspin article on Fedortsov a few years back.
I don’t get who you think is telling you not to question their identity?
Yet there are actual posters above losing their shit because the WFP endorsed Warren over Sanders. I don’t think they’re getting or perhaps don’t want to get the message about Sanders and Warren being on the same team.
Oh, Williamson’s supporters are plenty nuts -- they would just rather sit and practice warning their potted fern to avoid vaccines via ESP than attack you for supporting Warren, who is just to the right of Duterte. :)
That dude’s been around for dog’s years, too; I recall him back from Gawker days.
I also wonder, from my experience here in Maine working to pass Ranked Choice Voting, how much of this toxic Bernie supporter flak might carry a little rhetorical hangover from right-wing objections to ranked-choice voting mechanisms as somehow “unfair” or “unrepresentative” (although the opposite is in fact the case) …
Because they’re not? It’s the same system that the state caucuses use: each of those 56 votes count “more” because they represent the actual vote from many more people: the committees below them as voted on by members in the committees, all the way down. They aren’t superdelegates, they’re representatives.
The conspiratorial rhetoric commenters in this very thread are spouting is indeed rather astonishing.
