ah, touche!  laugh*sob*

I sometimes idly speculate on what it would be like to live in the kind of world these jackwagons idealize, with their beloved fundie ‘scientists” who take their cues solely from the paid interests of big corporations. Yikes.

Privatize profits, socialize losses: it’s the American way.

I knew I liked you.

It’s also a European thing; my female German relatives are often called “mean” or “humorless” by Americans because they don’t do the duck and smile kabuki for every danged man they come across. It’s most refreshing.

Honestly, we’re talking about virtually every single politician in the US.

The one person I know with an actual PhD in rocket science is a diehard Trump supporter. Go figure.

Hard to expect anything else from people who run for paying jobs in government on the platform of “all government is bad”, ain’t it?

They apparently didn’t really want to break this news story, though, as evidenced by hiding it in the 16th paragraph of an opinion article. Does it count if they broke it inadvertently?

Right? Guess I didn’t really want to read that article and give them another click, anyways.

Hey Milo: learn to code.

There is that delightful screenshot floating around of Milo, Jacob Wohl and some other asshole I can’t be bothered to remember, all bitterly complaining about having been ‘deplatformed’ from Twitter or Youtube or wherever, and how they just can’t survive grifting from the mere thousands of followers they get on

I’m appreciating the mental image as you describe it, so the effort is not entirely unwasted.

Susan Collins is my Senator and I loathe her with the strength of ten million suns, and you are also correct. Thank you.

Oh thank you, that’s helpful indeed, if really poorly designed. I liked it back when they gave you part of your own comment along with the replies so you could really keep track.

Oh totally agreed, and one could even make the argument that this just hastens the demand for a viable public option in the ACA or better still a real M4A solution. But in the short term (hopefully short) it still really sucks for the employees who needed it.

It was a Sinclair-operated branch channel of ABC, apparently. Does that explain it?

Yeah, I mean I was just sorting through old Chrome extensions and deleted one that corrected the crazy “new” Kinja formatting back in ... 2014 or so. LOL

It’s kind of humorous, lots of little coding errors that even a bad coder like myself can identify in the end product. I’m particularly loving how new hot links open up in the Splinter iframe, leading to amusing visuals like a NYT Bari Weiss article with the Splinter headline.

Amazon-owned Whole Foods just cancelled health insurance for their part-time workers. This country is heading in the shithole direction as fast as its exploitative little legs can carry it.
