So he bought it for the crony government perk.

Real redneck liberals drive beat-up firstgen Subaru Foresters.

Nah it’s a green fashion thing. Teslas are not bought for practical reasons.

Alternate headline:

The danger in the production’s impressive attention to detail is little things like this stand out all the more. I admit every time I saw the headlights in the daylight scenes they jumped out at me (which I expect is not something they wanted to happen).

*Battery & charger NOT included and also happen to exceed the cost of the mower itself. $285 for an 8Ah battery + $65 for the charger. Ouch!

Okay so this one time, I convinced my friend to let us take his dads 250 California out for the day in Chicago and...well...lets just say it was one interesting day off.

I valeted my ‘98 Cavalier a few times (currently at 251k miles, some rust on the doors - and at least one of the times, had a nice exhaust leak - also leaks gas a little. Good little car otherwise).

Oh you meant a horror story for me, not them.

The hell? No battery, no charger? For the same price I can buy a regular mower. It’s an extra $200 or so for batteries and a charger. That’s years worth of gas for a moderately-sized yard.

Summer heat dried cow patties are even more fun to huck at your friends. Nice and dry on the outside makes it easy to fling like a Frisbee but when it hits... poof! Dry cow turd dust... so much more satisfying.

Dried clumps of dirt (like from a tilled field) are even cooler! Especially when you lob them at your friend like a grenade and it explodes into a cloud of dust. Now we all simulate throwing grenades in video games Booooring!!!

It’s not that kids need to play in dirt. It’s that for most of human history, kids DID play in dirt. And our immune system was calibrated for that. But now that kids are raised in a 99.99% germ free environment, you get asthma and allergies which are just immune systems that never got calibrated properly.

Kids need to play in dirt. Big surprise... When was this forgotten?

Plus, as an added benefit, the smaller box springs’ sides provide some extra rigidity in the center of the mattress, which helps reduce the amount of sag.

I just make sure when I buy a box spring I buy the split version that is basically two twin bed box springs that sit side by side. makes like a whole lot easier. Never EVER buy a full sized box spring that $50 savings is not worth it.

Obviously your results may vary but we had one of these at my shop and it literally fell apart at 100k miles and 4 years old. Doors off hinges, all kind of things breaking. Who knows

Tom Brokaw pretty much openly admitted this on one of the late night talk shows about a month ago. Said if stadium venues weren’t finished or were empty they wouldn’t show them on camera. His whole attitude was we show and pitch it so it looks bright and shiny.

Sports Illustrated just did their Olympics issue and made everything seem shiney and happy.

there are dozens of locations that can host the Olympics right now, and they are ignored because either a country wants the prestige of the games to overshadow their lousy human rights records or the cities refuse to spend billions when the facilities they already have are quite adequate.

I have a feeling NBC is not going to report on the problems very much. They want shiny, happy, uplifting stories.
