Hot take: FFX was bad, and X-2 was worse. Both had good battle systems, weighed down by insufferable characters and writing like someone rolled a katamari through the anime section of TVTropes, and unskippable minigames out of a mid-2000s DVD extra.

I suppose this is what happens when you try to make a career out of being a glorified fan of a company’s product.
