My buddy used to autocross his Prius for fun. Because of the high torque from the electric motors at low speeds, its actually pretty fast. He now has a Honda S2000 pretty much just for weekends and autocross.

You can run forward and strafe, but you can't run straight sideways. Try holding down just Shift and D, see where that gets you.
