$72k? Call me crazy, but in an environment where loaded Wranglers can crack that number, this thing looks like a strong value proposition. Styling, interior quality, range, and performance specs look spot in as well.

Welp, I guess we’ve finally found a reason not to buy the Cybertruck.
Official parade car for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party.
You would have to have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome to find the CT an acceptable product.

Yes, there is a reason. It’s that other car makers distribute their sales over many, many more models than Tesla does. Even among BEVs.
I think their quality control issues alone would disqualify them from being the BEST. Add on their stale, dated 10 year old lineup or the complications they face to actually launching new vehicles like the Cybertruck which they can’t release faster than its reputation is deteriorating or their irrational business…
Lexus. Like Toyota only fancier, more comfortable, more reliable, etc. There are more layers of corrosion protection, paint and clearcoat than what you find on other manufacturers (find a 20 year old Lexus and just try to find rust on the body). They run for decades longer than other cars, again, go take a 20 year…
Though the lead paint on earlier models was an issue LOL
Had a 1990 Nissan Maxima with this system.
87 Camry had it, too, and the 87 Camry was not a cheap car for its day.
Most other manufacturers used a more intuitive (I guess?) push-to-remove mechanism, where you’d have to push the key into the column a bit and turn to go past the safety stop and release the key.
It was to prevent accidentally shutting off the car while driving and engaging the steering wheel anti-theft locking mechanism. Locking the wheel while driving can be a big nuisance.
Can confirm, had a Mustang with a Glass Roof and a very phallic aluminum shift knob. It was like trying to hold the sun.
I remember getting all kinds of flak for pointing out what a nightmare owning these things would be when the Hertz story first came out. Glad to see I was right.
I wouldn’t be shocked if a Cybertruck qualifies for it first.

Nope. Those companies will push excess inventory out to their dealers-which is typically what happens when supply outpaces demand. But you’re probably a Musk fanboi and just wanna whine.
I guess the idea of a Model 3 being a potential LeMons candidate is getting closer by the day.
