Yikes. I’m $0.13 per kwh here. A fill of a 100 KWh battery is roughly $15. My current truck is paid off but $360/m in gas. I’d be looking at reducing that to $75/m in power charges.

I’m the owner of two EVs (we have zero gasoline in the house), and all of your criticisms are valid. My only counter would to be to also account for some other variables/benefits of EV ownership (although they are admittedly smaller). Examples: EVs require significantly less maintenance. EVs can be turned “on” in a

We considered the same and decided it did not make any sense. I still need two vehicles with one able to tow 5k lbs and the other 10k lbs so that rules out any ev that’s in the price range i would have been willing to spend. So we looked at used evs and hybrids like the bolt and prius but what I would save in gas

I keep trying to explain that even though 70% of folks live in detached housing, roughly half of that is older stock with 100A service. Newer houses are usually 200A or even 400A service.  The ROI for upgrading older 100A service isn’t there.

That up-front cost would add to the value of your home as well as be amortized over the lives of any and all future EVs you had, not just the first, so boiling it down to the 161,550 miles driven requirement isn’t the full picture.  (Not to mention the not-burning-gas-anymore part, but I appreciate that this is

That 200/Month deal on the EV Kona is a perfect sweet spot.

I mean Donald Trump is literally posting day and night about how climate change is a myth and electric cars are going to destroy the entire U.S. car industry and take the broader economy down with them. Why Musk would hitch his ideological wagon to that ignorant man’s vicious culture war just boggles the mind. Trump’s

The Model 3/Y buyers are mostly the exact same yuppie crowd that used to lease a 3 series. No surprise they drive the same way. The new Model 3 even has non-traditional turn signal to ensure they are similarly disused.

The Javelins is a “good” idea, but this is better...

Musk is such a vile POS, I could never buy one of his MAGA mobiles. Mind you, douchebag Telsa driver isn’t helping at all. They’ve quickly taken the crown from BMW guy as the most reckless driver.

To be honest, I first though that Elon was being clever.

If only the US government would take action for being over charged by SpaceX. Then after Mr. Musk does his time, he can promptly be deported back to South Africa...

You’re blaming the design of Tesla Cybertruck?!? What about blaming the poor design of fingers that allows them to be chopped off as easily as carrots?

Unless you are park on a steep grade, it is completely unnessesary.

The truck does have a censor for the front of the frunk’s door

Elon Musk spent all of 2023 insulting his most important customer base, and promoting causes they find repugnant. Is this a surprise to anyone?

You know what’s funny, the luxury car companies don’t do this kind of shit. I test drove a Lexus the other day and they just asked for my Drivers License and I was good to go. If you want to treat potential customers like criminals when the come in the dealer ship then fine see how that goes on the Customer Service

Best thing that can be done is call these dealers out by name (like this article does) and avoid those dealers. Maybe the only thing that can really be done.

Regular dealerships get weird when they think they have something special and forget what they are rather then just be excited to offer a performance model.

I experienced the same thing with Toyota when the supra came out. They would not let me test drive a car without a down payment on it. Porsche had no such problems

Fuck these thieves, but please don’t ever refer to yourself as an Nfluencer.
