Hey did you know you can get a supercar every bit as beautiful as your Aston that’s BRAND NEW and starts under $100k?

I miss 3 speed automatics. You really knew what you were on about with those.
Bugatti Atlantic. Costs a ton to keep on the road enough for 10k-15k miles/ year as a daily driver, but it’s worth it for the style.
You still have to pay attention - for example, if you’re on a curve and a big tractor-trailer is on the outside of the curve next to you, the trailer will have a tendency to encroach into your lane, and so you need to turn slightly towards the other side of the lane rather than stay centered. You just don’t have to…
I have a Hyundai Palisade with, presumably, the same lane keeping assist system. If you out it on with the radar cruise control on the highway, the car basically drives itself, and it makes highway miles disappear much more easily. Like 90% of the way to actual self- driving.
Kind of a misleading headline here - yes, the Kill Van Kull is just to the north of the Verrazzano-Narrows bridge, but in order to have hit the bridge, the ship would have had to make its way to the end of the Kill Van Kull, make a 90 degree turn to starboard, and then drift on another mile or so. If the ship was in…
I can forgive cosmetic damage. I can even non-working things you don’t use much (sunroof, potentially power mirrors). But leaking coolant and oil is a car that somebody didn’t want to spend the money properly maintaing, so that makes this a ND. Signed, guy who just spent $4,200 on comprehensive maintenance and repair…
“I have all-wheel drive, so I don’t need snow tires.” Yes you do. You do. Trust me, you need snow tires.
Ever since Hurricane Sandy in 2012, when we lost power for a week here in NY, I always make sure to keep my phone battery at 100% at all times - I keep a dozen 100 Wh chargers fully charged at all times, and if my cell phone isn’t plugged in to the wall or into my car, I keep it plugged in to one of the chargers at…
Think about how you have to replace your cell phone every 2 or 3 years because the battery can’t hold a charge any more, and then apply that to a 2 or 3 year old EV. It came with 350 miles of range; I doubt that number is more than 150 miles now.
Best car I ever had for sleeping in: Ford Taurus wagon. Worst: Porsche Cayman.
Why would anybody buy a 4Runner when the new Land Cruiser is available?
Yes, a decent set of snow tires is much better than AWD for dealing with snow (I daily-drove a Mustang through snow for a decade on Michelin snow tires), but unless you’re driving a Civic Type R or the equivalent specifically designed to counter it, front wheel drive cars have inherently unsafe levels of understeer;…
GM, at the moment, does not sell a single hybrid.
At that price, with that maintenance, this seems like it would be a pretty great first car for a teenager. NP all the way.
Ford decided it would be a great idea to create an awesome compact pickup truck that everybody wanted, and then offer a hybrid engine... exclusively with front-wheel drive. In a pickup. No idea what they’re thinking.
Entire list of hybrids Ford currently offers: F-150 hybrid with low take rates; Escape PHEV inexplicably only available in FWD, so it’s non-competitive in the compact SUV class; Maverick hybrid inexplicably only available in FWD, so it’s non-competitive in the compact pickup class; Escape ST-Line Elite ($1,600 hybrid…
Toyota’s bet on hybrids has been so succesful that you have to wait 18 months and pay dealer markup to get a Sienna hybrid. Why the Big 3 have abandoned hybrids (except Stellantis, which keeps building hybrids that break all the time) is absolutely beyond me.

Are those 671 new Nissan Z’s sold a result of them not reaching dealer lots yet, or have people just realized that the new Z is an absolutely terrible deal in this market compared to other cars you can get for the same price?
