Funny you mention that; I remember driving through the Eisenhower Tunnel in my Mustang with a Coyote V8 and while it certainly wasn’t lacking for power, it was very noticably down on power versus what I’m used to here at sea level. Never really thought that that altitude difference would create enough difference in

I have carried four adults in my Mustang (admittedly not in lots of comfort) before. It’s possible.

In certain markets cars are taxed by engine displacement, which is why you’ll see a whole lot of “2.0 liter” 4 cylinders that are actually 1,998 cc because hitting 2,000 would put them in a higher tax category.

I wish I could find the quote, but I remember reading a BMW exec in about 1999 saying that the brand would never turn to turbocharging. Naturally aspirated BMW engines are absolutely delightful... but they haven’t made one in the last decade.

I’m sorry but 20" chrome spinners are objectively the best wheels and I won’t have anybody argue nonsense to the contrary.

The repair bills on this will be a nightmare, but that third row in the station wagon is too tempting at $7,500. NP.

I have put two car seats in the back precisely one time (including one rear-facing seat) during a very brief window when my wife’s previous car’s lease was up and I hadn’t picked up her new car yet. That was... not the best. But they’re older now and can sit in the back seats just fine.

I have put 97,000 miles on my 2015 GT in the 9 years since I picked it up, and I am going to keep driving it forever. There's just nothing like a V8 coupe (even though I now have two kids, so at some point I'll need to get something more practical as a daily driver).

In 2027, we can get the Smart Roadster. Mid- engine, rear wheel drive, under 1,800 pound curb weight, removable hard top. They were notoriously unreliable, which just means that any survivors have been treated very well and had their problems sorted out. And I'm pretty sure a GR Corolla engine would fit back there...

Uh, just to be clear, the guy has absolutely no case whatsoever and the chance that this is getting thrown out immediately is essentially 100%. The TechDirt article has a link to the motion to dismiss, I would suggest anybody read it before thinking the dude has any kind of a case at all here.

Backbone controller doesn't have the detailed vibrations of a PS5 controller, which is worth the price by itself

Does your job require a pickup truck? If so, drive a pickup truck. If not, drive something less embarrassing.

Any pickup truck unless it has a contractor’s logo on it. Stop pretending to be a cowboy, you look like a loser.

Ehhhhh sovereign citizen nonsense has pretty strong roots in a lot of Black communities. Wesley Snipes went to prison for it because he thought it meant he didn’t have to pay taxes.

The biggest killer app of the PS5 - really, until games started going exclusive, the only real reason to go with a PS5 over a PS4 - is the specialized controller vibration, that you don’t get with a phone and a different controller.

The thing I don’t understand about sovereign citizens is that they know their mumbo-jumbo doesn’t work. Like, even if they believe that they’re 100% correct on the law - which is bugnuts, but let’s assume for a moment that they believe they’re right - they know that police and judges and DA’s don’t buy it, and that

The Chrysler Crossfire hardtop, non-SRT6 is, in my opinion, the most beautiful American car of the 21st century. The SRT6 is way more fun to drive, but adds a giant fixed rear wing that breaks up the clean art deco lines of the coupe. Such a beautiful car. I don’t know why they’re not more beloved.

Very much NP.

Looks like a great little car; just a shame it doesn’t have enough range to be practical.

I will pay extra money for a modern car with modern safety and modern electronics and modern engineering and a 1980's velour front bench seat.

Let me rephrase slightly what you just said:
“No work of art could be worth millions of dollars, because you could just reproduce something that looks similar for a fraction of the cost and nobody but an expert would be able to tell the difference.”
Think of old Ferraris like Rembrandt paintings. They are valuable
