Graph paper and a lot of swearing.

Ugh, why would you spend time going over this utter waste of a movie when X-Men 2, which is still one of the absolute best superhero films, period, was right there?

So it is just boss rush, then? HARD pass.

Wasn’t it originally supposed to be Nick Nack but they replaced it with Oddjob at the last minute?  That’s what I always heard.

...can I go now?

Yes it is, and I want it bad. It looks almost identical to the Wii Classic Controller Pro, which is quite possibly my favorite controller I’ve ever used, but I only ever really got to use it for one game.  So I am eagerly anticipating grabbing that one to use all the time.

I actually haven’t had a problem with the joycon at all so far (haven’t picked up the X collections yet), and in fact generally find the separate directional buttons more precise than I’m used to, if anything.

If Aloy could climb like Link, that game would probably be the GOAT.

On the one hand, I’d love to dive into that noodle recipe. On the other, I’m...skeptical that the chicken would actually get cooked in only 3 minutes, considering that the chicken button is set to 15 minutes by default...

“...and the developers say that those who don’t want to be invaded can turn that setting off.”

OH GOD DAMMIT

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!

I do look forward to checking that one out once it hits Switch.

For Fog Canyon, which I was specifically referring to, yes, yes it is.

“I play Metroidvania(-likes) for the satisfying exploration, and procedural generation, rogue-lite mechanics, etc. are liable to fuck all that up. (I’d suggest the same exceedingly deliberate and intricate level design is a hallmark of Mega Man X as well, but your enjoyment of 20xx suggests there can be more to it

Perhaps some of us don’t have the time to memorize the minutiae of every secret conversation with every NPC, and then to connect that with finding a secret passage (if I’m remembering correctly) behind a random unmarked door that you would have no reason to go into otherwise before that point.

The M word is definitely the reason I was even thinking about Dead Cells in the first place.  So yeah, looking like a pass.

You’re underselling it.

Exactly. I play games for fun. Life is frustrating enough, I don’t need intentional frustration baked into my leisure activities. And if your game is going to be super hard, there needs to be something more to it to justify it. Take God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn, for example. Those were challenging as hell, but had

“All of that being said, I recommend you stay away from Dead Cells, even though it’s an excellent game. It’s considerably more difficult (or at least a lot less forgiving) than Hollow Knight, and the struggle to overcome that difficulty is all it has.”
