Thank You! I appreciate that :) I took the day off work, so looking forward to a nice chill day with the fam. And that also means I can stay up a little later tonight and play some Cyberpunk!

Sweet Jesus.  Well, then I guess the good thing about me currently switching off between Baldur’s Gate 3 and a new playthrough of Cyberpunk is that many of these games will be on sale when I finally come up for air.  Ha ha!  I did pre-order Spider-Man 2, though.

It truly is such a shame that running a business that is able to cover the cost of the business operating indefinitely is considered a failure in our current business world.

The problem is that she’s just reading the lines and I wonder what the voice director was doing. Then again, maybe the director told her to sound more exaggerated and add some grate to the voice but Megan still sucked at that.

Racism, police corruption, most prisoners per capita on the planet, one of 10 countries with the death penalty, second most people killed by the police yearly on the planet, one of a handful of countries where street-level police are armed, and our police force is technically the third most heavily funded standing

Volition’s last two games were critical and commercial failures and the studio was likely expensive to maintain. Couple that with the failed $2 billion deal and you get a closed studio.

Eh, these games just aren’t really for us old timers anymore. Yeah, it’s a lot harder to find time for a game like this with adult responsibilities, but don’t forget there’s always generations coming after you at that point in their lives where they live for the massive open world time sink.

I hate how much of online gaming discourse revolves around bad takes made by ill-formed idiots looking to make a quick buck off rage-bait videos.

Now give me updated versions of battle arena toshinden and einhander you cowards.

why does this guy always look like he had to look up how to smile in a book?

I’m middle aged and have less time for games. My take is play what’s fun or engaging. If it’s great, play it to conclusion. If it’s stops being fun, put it down and try something else. The last few games I actually completed were Cyberpunk and Xenoblade 3. I may not complete BG3 or Starfield, but I’m definitely

If you haven’t checked it out, Solasta has some much shorter campaigns that BG3 and there’s also user created campaigns and it supports multiple players. (If I recall correctly.) It’s story won’t be as in depth as BG3 but if you’re looking for multiplayer and something short I assume you’re more interested in combat

Such a boring take that just sounds like a faded copy the perennial complaint of a reviewer annoyed they can only afford to spend 2-3 days reviewing a big title. “I want less.” Well, lucky for you that plenty of developers have no problem shipping much less so you can take your pick.

While I don’t have a problem with the length of both games as a single player I’d love to have a shorter BG3 campaign specifically for coop. I am not sitting through this 100+ hours thing trying to gather other people to play with on a regular basis.

Dungeon Siege 3 has a perfect length, maybe not as the $60 action rpg

It’s a shame they’re releasing this way around. Starfield will have the standard BGS game format, so you can spend hundreds of hours on it exactingly solving every single side, faction, companion character and plain old random quest, or you could just mainline the main quest and polish it off in ~30 hours or less.

Unreal shaders are pretty powerful.

Ugh, that really isn’t a selling point. It means the maps will be full of pointless filler and chests to fill the space out. It was that tedium that made me give up on AC: Valhalla.

Shame about the rest of the film
