Gonna be honest, this is a pretty wild read that makes me think the division caused by the ending will not be mitigated at all. Because to me, I was thinking during the finale: “Wow Joel comes off even worse here than in the game.” Especially because the show, for the most part, has avoided Joel being depicted as a

I personally have never agreed with the idea of forgiving Joel for his actions at the end of Part I simply because he’s likable and had a sympathetic motive.

Me: “So, what genre is Fortnite?”
Epic: “Yes.”

I don’t understand why everyone is taking this concept and doing it in such a boring way. Just look at xmen legends 2 and copy as many mechanics as you can.

my partner just said it’s the best voice because Gumball

It is SHOCKING how little most gamers explore games they play. Like, any time you have a remotely open-ended game, take a look at any achievement related to optional content. Even in AAA titles with great press, anything outside story-critical stuff usually sits at 1-6% of players actually doing them; even finishing

I posted this in the initial review about ER and was absolutely lambasted. I completely agree, the story may as well not exist as far as I’m concerned, and I have like 300 hours in. You have almost no agency over anything that happens, and it is trivial to miss even broad strokes of the story.

All you really need to know is that the player character is Miquella. Thats why torrent likes you, because Miquella was its old owner it recognizes you. Miquella spend much of his time creating the alburniacs because he was trying to create a vessel to put his soul into that would bypass his curse, but as ranni

Elden Ring is steeped in “lore,” but there is very little storytelling because nearly none of the story happens while you’re there. You are there to experience a mostly-dead world full of stories that have already happened.

I do like the idea that you have to figure some things out to understand the story. For me, the game went entirely too far in that direction, and I feel like I understood 1% of the story after playing the entire game. Obviously other people loved that aspect of the game, which is great for them. I loved the gameplay,

it’s pretty annoying how the game is written in flowerly gibberish to make it seem old and fantasy like but most of it means nothing, it’s like reading Jabberwocky, it just SEEMS like they’re saying something..

Definitely was always a vibe to me too. I love it though: instead of being randomly fed story that might interest me or not, I just naturally focus on the parts that interest me (which is kind of what we do in real life, I guess?).

I have no clue what was going on in that game. Spent close to 200 hours on it too. Part me not focusing on it, part confusing as hell. The way they talked didn’t help.

I remember feeling that way for the majority of the game but then decided to have the game’s wiki basically live on my phone and went out of my way to dive into the background of most characters and areas. I think it was a game that, similar to its gameplay, didn’t feed you anything too easily and make you discovery

Man I beat the game (Ranni’s ending) and I still have no fucking clue where the lore was supposed to go.

I feel like the issue is that this felt a lot like another expansion versus an entirely new game and also pandemic delays and this being a PS4 game kinda affected this game.

Also, Open World Fatigue.

If I remember correctly, after you beat the big plant boss, you go to the lava caverns, but there’s not much there for you right now- you want to head to an elevator in the lava place that takes you to “Phendrana Drifts”. From there, look for the boost ball.

Like others mentioned, turn on hints. Look for doors that you

I played the original and this scenario happened to me as a kid. I just started a new save and realized getting back to where I had originally left off was a lot easier and faster, and more motivating as you gain confidence. You are still in the early game btw.

Maybe you can try to hunt for items: you’ll definitely get a few you missed by looking hard enough.

The game has a hint system ( or at least the old version did). Make sure that setting is turned on and after walking for a while the game will pretty much tell you where to go next for progress.
