It amazes me how companies completely muck up their battle passes when the industry leader (Fortnite) has the best model (at least IMO) and they could just copy that. Fortnite has had, for as long as I can remember, the “free money” system where you can earn enough to buy next month’s BP.

We didn’t have any of the stuff from the video but we had the whole Handy Boy setup when we were kids. It didn’t take us too long to realize it was a waste of time and super uncomfortable to use BUT I vaguely remember keeping at least part of it attached for a week or two in order to use the included light source.

I think the intention is to make these challenges theoretically possible so that it can be written somewhere that “You don’t need to buy anything”. This game and others have demonstrated that implementing frustration into the game is how to get players to buy sh*t.

I agree. The most fun part of open world games for me is the end when you have all the abilities. I like enjoying the story and being overpowered.
