Yep! I’m not sure why anyone threatens their own livelihood on twitter anyway. You don’t need to have takes on everything! Like it’s totally all right to not express every thought that bounces around your head.

I am so thankful for this goofy constantly changing and updating game. My kids are always hyped about what could come next, and rewarding them with vbucks has been an enticing carrot to get them through virtual school during this stupid year.

Yeah I was wary of him after hearing him on the Pete Holmes podcast a couple years back complain about “SJWs coming out” to “attack” him after he made a transphobic joke on Twitter.

In a tragic “too little too late” move, Disney used the Infinity designs to make a series of actual action figures.

Agreed. Getting into one on one lightsaber duels last year was fun. I'd love to see them flesh that out a bit, maybe even take a stab at a Jedi mode that was all powers and laser swords.

It also didn’t help that they went with the same roster as the movies, inviting comparison on that alone. Had it launched with maybe Hulk, Wasp, Vision, Falcon Cap and Iron Heart, the response would have been dramatically different. People would have thought, “Oh it’s like the Avengers, but with new people.” Instead

Web of Shadows had some legit combat. It was super combo heavy and I remember it working on the ground, in the air, on the side of a building, anywhere. Also I remember getting to review the DS version of that game and it was surprisingly solid.

Thank you, Zack, for reminding me Ultimate Spider-Man exists.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game tried to chase that by mapping the left and right triggers to Spider-Man’s left and right arms. Most of the time, it was clunky and felt like more work than it needed to be, but there were times when it would work really well. It was cool when you needed to make a sharp turn to just shoot

It really does have that constant setpiece formula, which is exactly what the movies do. It was novel at the time, for sure. This was pre-Uncharted, so there weren’t a ton of people attempting that back then. Watching a play through on YouTube right now and it looks like it would still hold up, though I’m sure the

Totally forgot about Blood Stone! I remember it having elements of Splinter Cell: Conviction in it. Gonna have to watch a play through of that on YouTube after Everything or Nothing (hooray working from home!).

Everyone talks about GoldenEye and no one talks about the true Bond game GOAT: Everything or Nothing.

I would chalk some of the things you mentioned up to time and resource limitations. It’s just not worth putting the time into the NPCs on boats you’re not supposed to get close to when that same time could go into something more important. There might not be a technical issue with giving everything on a character the

In summer of 2019 I got a Xbox One S off Facebook marketplace for $150. I had a 360 and PS3 the previous gen, but thanks to a decent gaming PC, I felt like a PS4 and Switch were just fine this gen.

Is there some magical way around fall damage? What about mythological powers? I loved those parts of Odyssey. No, they didn’t make any sense, but jumping off mountains and warping to wherever I threw my spear was just fun.

Might pick this up on a PS5 or Series X (whatever I end up getting first) to experience the fastest elevator rides ever.

It’s not just the fps, PC players also turn all that super nice detailed stuff off—dense foliage, advanced shadows, etc. With the lowest settings and less dynamic lighting, it’s easier to spot players further away. Console players don’t have a choice.

Really interested to see how the streaming games run. I feel like my Switch’s wifi isn’t the best when undocked. I’ll always opt for a local game over a streaming one, but it would be pretty cool to see something like Gamepass, Stadia or Luna come to Switch as an add on.

Whoa, I didn’t even think about doing that. I got the Division 2 on sale with the expansion a few months back and puttered out after eight hours of slogging through the lower-level stuff. I guess I’ve been conditioned by playing games my whole life to do it in order, but...that doesn’t matter in a game where I

I agree, power scaling in games is so hard. I’m not sure anyone has nailed it, though the PS4 Spider-Man and Breath of the Wild both do it well. Some games get you powered up quick, but then take it away with enemies that are 10x more annoying (see: the entire Infamous series). The powers in Control feel incredible to
