Agreed on all fronts. There were definitely characters in the show that were under developed and were just kind of like “If you’ve played the game/read the books, you get it.” Triss was one of them.

It’s a toss up to me. I think the actor playing her in the show did a fine job, but I did sorta miss the look of Triss from the games...then again I also hated game Triss’ American accent. It worked for Geralt, it helped set him apart, but Triss and Dandelion’s non-English accents just sounded so off to me in the

We were all ordered to work from home after an employee was tested (results aren’t back yet). My job is easy to do from home, in fact I would usually work from home once a week or so. My wife is working from home too (for now) and helping me out because North Carolina closed all schools for “at least” two weeks.

My son is just getting into this game and now school is canceled. Hooray for something to keep him busy while I work!

Yeah, I think one of the Prince’s first lines is “You bitch!” He snarls at the almost naked woman who is now the main villain for...reasons. It went from Aladdin to Sin City and it was ridiculous. Then the bad rock music kicked in. If I didn’t love the combat, puzzles and traversal, I wouldn’t have been able to

Agreed. The edginess after the timeless adventure feel of the first game was embarrassing, as was the shoehorned Gobsmack soundtrack. The way Two Thrones brought it all together though was pretty amazing. Still Sands of Time is a perfect video game and I would LOVE a remaster.

I feel like the argument against producers is always “but bureaucracy!” And that’s fair up to a point. You get too many producers and layer on too many processes and it can slow things down—there’s really no perfect solution. It’s kind of a spectrum where you have Naughty Dog on one end, and something like working in

Oh I agree, I think there’s just probably three customer sets—those who played it a zillion times, those who never played it, and those, like me, who played it once when it came out and are now old, lol.

There were multiple references in this article to knowing FF7 by heart as if that’s the norm, and I wonder how true that is. I played it when it came out...23 years ago. I don’t remember anything outside a few scenes (maybe I play too many games, but I’m always amazed at people’s perfect recall of games when I listen

If this was Apple Arcade, where I could be sure it wouldn’t be stuffed with endless grinding, energy caps and micro transactions, I’d be excited. But it’s not, which means it will almost definitely have all of those things.

I appreciate this. There are times when you buy a game on sale, but don’t get around to playing it for a bit only to find out it doesn’t work. Or, as I had happen with Control, you get a game and it works totally fine for like five hours, and then it mysteriously crashes every single time you start it up. If I could

I always played a bad guy on my second run. I kind of liked that the bad guy wasn’t really bad, he was just kind of a dick. Also, I felt like Jennifer Hale’s voice acting worked better as a tough, no mercy renegade, so I was a fem Shep for that playthrough and male Shep for paragon.

Oh yeah I really liked that thing for the same reason I like Tomb Raider’s platforming—it introduces a tiny bit of skill. Having to press an extra button to grab a special ledge is slightly more engaging than just holding up on the analog stick.

Agreed. I’ve played every game in the series, even the side scrolling ones, and Syndicate is still one of my favorites. It was also the last one I bothered to 100 percent. I miss the days of reasonably sized AC games.

Also, I think the grappling hook was as freeing as Odyssey’s lack of fall damage. Now they just gotta

We will build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe.”

This has me so tempted to pick it up on Switch since I never got around to the DLC on PC. But...saying goodbye to my mods (unlimited inventory, no weapon degradation, and fast travel from anywhere in particular) would be really hard. After hours of playing the game with those, I’m not sure I could go back.

I really appreciate the amount of work that went into this dumb joke.

Hmm, I forgot about the PSP. I still have one of those in a drawer (loaded it up with SNES games in an attempt to get my oldest son interested in playing them...it didn't work).

What a tease! I just want a new PoP game. Despite the poor story and character design, the last PoP game (released around the time of the movie) had some really fun platforming sections toward the end that required quick power switching.

I find I like like service games when I play that as if they aren’t live service games.
