I remember seeing screenshots of this in a magazine back before it came out and I was immediately enamored with it. The art design was lush and painterly, and the comic book style word balloons practically jumped off the screen.

So tonight our son told us about how he learned about Lonnie Smith, who invented the super soaker. It’s a super fun story about a very happy accident.
My raccoon story didn’t have as happy an ending.
A couple months after moving into my current house we noticed a terrible smell coming from our fireplace. I thought maybe a bird had died or something at the top of the chimney. Nope. Turns out the previous owners didn’t install a chimney cap and a fat raccoon crawled…
Loving the look of this. I bought my Xbox One S off Facebook Marketplace back in the summer and haven’t purchased a single game, just got Gamepass Ultimate (I have a gaming PC too). Stuff like this, and the many other cool games I might not have tried or bought otherwise, are why I still subscribe.
Lol, seriously. These things look great, but I’m loathe to give Nintendo more money for them if the problem hasn't been completely ironed out (haven’t seen any reports that it has).
Yep. Might finally replace my drifting pair with these.
This looks rad! Reviews on Steam seem pretty positive too. The moving signs around bit seems built for a keyboard and mouse, how’s it handle with a controller? I prefer a controller when it comes to running and jumping.
I didn’t tell anyone not to use the word. I just explained why I don’t. But if that makes me the PC police, okay.
And then come the cries of “hypocrite!”
Being grouped into “the grays” which is a group of users on a website that are either too new, or have not posted enough consistently good/thoughtful/constructive comments to be ungrayed (the intention of the Kinja system, whether that’s correct is another thing) is not even…
Me: Shares a personal anecdote about a time when a real life non-internet friend told me that word offended her, so I stopped using it, and encouraged others to make their own decisions.
The grays: YOU’RE THE PC POLICE!
Years ago I had a friend say that “savage’ was offensive to her and her fellow indigenous people for many of the reasons Paul outlined above. So I stopped using it (not that it was really a regular part of my vocabulary anyway).
Totally agree. Playing these games with a mouse makes them feel borderline like a clicker game after a while. I prefer direct control of my character. Which is why I never played TL2, because they never brought it to console (until recently, I might grab it on Switch), and I didn’t want to play it on my PC with a…
I had never even heard of this game until this review. This looks like it has exactly what I want from crafting style games that I rarely get—an ending. Subnautica had one too, but I had to jump through a few obtuse crafting hoops to get there. The fact that the traversal is fun on its own and that this can be beat in…
I don’t work in video games, but I have worked (and currently do) at public companies and this is definitely plausible. They might not set out to dupe shareholders and delay the game, but it’s certainly something they’d keep in their back pocket as a “not ideal, but totally workable” solution if the game isn’t ready.…
This is a good thing. I came to both Witcher 2 and 3 about six months after release and was rewarded for waiting. Both games had received substantial patches (not to mention mods) from CD Project Red that made them better. I planned on waiting on this too. Now it's coming out in the busy fall release window, so…
Since they don’t share watch numbers, you can never be sure how well a Netflix original is actually doing. The fact that they made this shows they’re deeply invested, and that maybe the show is (hopefully) a success. This makes me happy, I am down for more of this show.
Good to know. I neglected to mention my 8-year-old presses way too damn hard on controllers...so that could be contributing to it. I have literally heard my PS4 controllers creak like a pirate ship under his vice grip.
If Nintendo did this with the pro controller I’d buy one so fast. I’ve had two joycons drift on me. I even cracked one open and fixed it with parts from Amazon and it STILL succumbed to drift after a few months.
Capcom’s got so much more than just Resident Evil. If not Dino Crisis, give me a new PowerStone!
Timing-wise I think a sequel to Horizon makes the most sense as far as exclusives go. Or they could go really big and bring out Spider-Man 2 for an early 2021 release.
