Well that’s just terrifying. I’m going to go ahead and make a note to not damage any crazy high pressure fuel components... as per David’s suggestion. Also for some reason the thought of gasoline at these pressures seems more intimidating than diesel at three times the pressure.  

it is advised when checking for a fuel leaks on the modern common rail diesel engines that you use a piece of cardboard as yes it does come out like a laser. i imagine that it does remove fingers or at the very least inject diesel into your bloodstream which could be potentially fatal.

Yeah, I don’t see it cutting like a laser.... But... That pressure would atomize fuel better than any fuel injector into a hot under hood area... Seems like that would be an epic fire/explosion.
