Yes, I'm right there with you! King Kunta, "i", "Alright" and "Wesley's Theory" are pretty much the only songs that I can listen to out of context of the entire album. I'm still processing this full body of work and while I think it is brilliant, I am still learning and trying to understand it. I don't think it's a

Yep! I love this video for all the reasons you mention. And I've had this song on repeat all damn day.

Oh good lord yes that was awful. I remember hating that scene as a young girl, but I couldn't quite articulate why. I remember throughout the video they had her play the role of the bougie girl with an attitude who was "too fly for the ghetto basement party" and that was supposed to excuse their ignorant ass behavior

Ugghh, I'm jealous! I need to go to more live shows. I need friends who love live music as much as I do. I miss so many concerts every year and it's actually quite depressing. My strategy this year: purchase 2 tix to any show I wanna see and raffle the extra ticket off to my friends. That's what I did for Curren$y, he

Gotcha. I'm going to keep an eye on this and see how the business end shakes out. Since Jay is speaking of transparency, I hope we get more info on how TIDAL results in better pay for all the artists involved in creating music; from the people behind the scenes to the artists on stage.

I'm right there with you. I had a guest over at my house this past weekend and his comment was "so....you actually still buy CDs." His reaction was so weird to me. I prefer having CDs for all the reasons you mentioned.

This comment is a better explanation of how TIDAL works and offers better pay to the artists than anything I have read from JayZ.

HYPER-VENTI-LATING

Zoe's been full of shit for a long time.

Yes that dress elongates her. I love how it looks.

Yes, this album is very jazzy!

I feel what you sre saying. I've been listening to this album and I am so excited about Kendrick as an artist. I love the album, I love the funk and the instrumentation/production is amazing. But there is a part of me that feels somewhat overwhelmed by the production. Almost how I feel when I listen to jazz. Don't get

Drip Drop is an awful song. Folks are buggin with that one.

Thanks so much!

I had to look long and hard for them but I do see them now. And you are right, now that I know they are there I'm even more annoyed.

So I'm super excited about this album and I cannot wait cause Kendrick is my favorite out of this crop of young rappers. But I gotta ask....where are the black women on this album cover?

oh ok, i get what you mean, i feel you. Yes 808s absolutely changed the game. I know many don't agree but to me it's his most important album because it was so influential and because the sound was just gorgeous. I feel bad that to this day I still haven't heard that album with a pair of good headphones cause I know

Aww I love 808s! It's such a beautiful album. I still go back and listen to 808s at least twice a year.

Oh god I'm right there with you. I cannot stand Mary Louise Parker! I avoid all of her movies (except Fried Green Tomatoes) & tv shows. My reason is very petty: I don't like her delivery and cadence as an actress. She has this thing where she delivers a line, then she pauses and then acts all weird and spaced out.
