Yeah, that’s fair. I wasn’t thinking about The Sopranos. I am a bit inclined to give Breaking Bad a pass because of its quality, and, related to that, I think Breaking Bad really tried to place its characters in a moral context that many similar shows shied away from. There’s plenty of people who still rooted for Walt

What? She fucked him because Walt was keeping her trapped in a marriage she didn’t want to be in and it was the only way she could exercise some power over him. And the fact that you’re this mad at a stranger on the internet doesn’t at all convince me you don’t have issues.

If BB were made today, the women would probably be more significant.  Kim Wexler is very important in BCS.  Also, in Ozark, which tries to be BB in some ways, there are several strong female characters.

“fucks her boss for attention”

What traits in Mike are you referring to? In BB we learn very little about Mike outside of his “work persona” other than that he’s an ex-cop from Philadelphia and only working in crime to make money to leave to his granddaughter. Whereas some characters like Tuco and even Walt relish violence, it’s pretty clear Mike

why does he keep missing the second guy before finally killing him?

Oh, he was anyway. People (read: young men) hated Skylar because she kept getting in the way of Walt being a ‘badass’, i.e. making toxic drugs and murdering people.

I’ve always felt like the point of Breaking Bad is that NONE of these people are good people, with the possible exception of Walt Jr and baby Holly. It was essentially a story of people just looking out for themselves and doing whatever the fuck they want. Aside from the obvious criminals; Walt, Jesse, Gus, Tuco,

The thing is that, although I loved Breaking Bad as much as the next guy, it’s never going to be as good on re-watch because so much of the show’s quality was down to it being so completely, nerve-shreddingly tense, and now that we know how it ends it loses some of its power.

I thought the point was that Jesse was too smart to get into an ego-driven duel. He hid a second gun in his pocket and just shot it early. No quick draw occurred.

Gilligan’s always had kind of a blind spot when it comes to diversity. I was hoping he’d fix that with BCS but it hasn’t really been the case.

Badger and Skinny Pete are amazing friends.

Arya scratched him in the lower back.  The CoTF jammed the dagger squarely through his chest.  But why wouldn’t the Night King wear some sort of protection if he had a weak spot like that?  He’s like some video game boss.  The showrunners didn’t really care about the White Walkers / Others plot, so they made an excuse

this was the valirian steel one that was uses at some point to try to kill bam. it was littlefinger's. the one she gave sansa was dragon glass.

I feel more than a bit betrayed. I feel like the whole thing has been a bait-and-switch. The King’s Landing / Iron Throne has been far less captivating since they ran out of GRRM’s material, and it has been downright bad since they killed off most of the players at the end of Season 6. The Iron Throne plot was

The letter grade says “B”, the review seems more like “C-”.

Jon Snow never got to fight the Night King one on one. WTF! None of the white walker generals fought anyone, they just stood there like dummies. How on earth did they not see Arya coming? I feel let down.

“The more I actually dwell on it, the less substance and value I feel this episode had, but I’ll give it a B I guess.” - Myles Mcnutt, 2019

Well, the Night King doesn’t exist in the books, so GRRM knows what to do with him in the sense of not creating him.

Dear god, I am getting fed up of battles in which the defenders decide the best opening gambit is to charge out at the attackers. What the FUCK was that “defense” of Winterfell? Sending the cavalry out to seek battle in the open against an unseen enemy of unknown size? Placing exposed infantry in front of built
