I don’t recall the books suggesting that causation at all, if anything it was almost more like the other way, where intelligence attracts them. Or at least that’s how I read it.

I always thought Lee was 40-50 at most in the books, was he really supposed to be that much older?? I assumed his career started young, given how active it was.

I genuinely worry that the reason LW#1 thinks she can't get a divorce is because the husband has cut her off from friends and family. She's being abused regardless of physical contact. She needs to get away from him.

    BORE’s wife sounds depressed.

If painting one’s body is “pseudo sex work” then I really have to ask what you think of men who swim in Speedos. While we’re confusing chests with genitalia and all that.

I’m female so take this with a grain of salt but...breasts aren’t inherently sexual

Goodness, I don't want to know what happens when you pass by the lingerie section of a store.

So how exactly is she supposed to not have her breasts in view? If she’s disabled she may not be able to position the camera higher, and real breasts are not half as mobile as anime ones.

Is there a particular reason they aren't using...you know...real animals in any shots? I'm familiar with how rodent droppings get everywhere, but they totally could've given us a flash of that iconic cover.

People 8,000 years ago managed to alter weather patterns and soil composition through slash and burn agriculture, but pumping gases into our gaseous atmosphere won’t do anything.

Humans as a species survived. This doesn't mean things will go well for individuals, and the archeological record suggests that civilizations have in fact collapsed during naturally occurring climate change events, which took much longer to escalate than AGW.

Well, those were certainly some choices.

And why would you not use more traps when you know you're facing a mindless horde?!

I thought they would be routed and then have to go on more of a traditional epic fantasy quest to find NK's weakness. In the meantime, Cersei could start moving North.

Sorry but I don’t think “well constructed” is the right term for a battle so poorly planned that everyone ended up needing a deus ex machina - sometimes multiple - to survive. Medieval battles had plenty of tactics and technologies to handle sieges, and none of that was on display.

Their seasons last around a decade. Iirc in the books, winter officially starts around the time Sam finally departs for Oldtown, but it's been a while.

The one issue I have is how heavily the prophecies are pushed in the books (consistent, multiple sources, etc). I don’t think the show spends that much time on them to begin with, though?

That soulful moment he had with Bran was pretty good, personally.

Wait, there was supposed to be a flanking force and it was infantry??

Medieval battles weren’t *that* messy. Worst placement of cavalry, heavy, and light infantry ever. And traps are documented in ancient times.
