Speaking of X-Men, the ending of the Dark Phoenix Saga was another death that provoked a lot of outrage and concern from fans.

Why would you say that?
Don’t get me wrong, it would be pretty sweet if there was some random Moebius art in there
It’s always interesting to go back and read the letters pages when Gwen Stacy and Jason Todd died. People were furious. Even for Jason, who people kind of disliked anyways
No Mindworm either. And as everyone knows, madness means the mindworm
Moebius?
And this guy is probably the reason you likely have never seen a foreskin in person
I personally think that the reluctance to accept that public perception of the classic slashers has changed and people still kind of like them but don’t really find them scary is one of the big things holding the various franchises back. I don’t think anyone, even John Carpenter, is really going to be able to come…
Cool. I have some skepticism of these types of services as a comic book history buff. My complaint about Marvel’s for example is that even though there is a lot of material available through the service, there are still huge gaps of missing content. On more than a few occasions, I’ve thought of signing up because I…
Me too, I loved the Halloween movies as a teen, although I agree in general that the franchise is scarier the less Michael is explained. At the same time I don’t really see that as a problem as just a natural part of horror.

Just an interesting note for people thinking about going to the movies this weekend:
X-Men: Apocalypse is currently doing worse than X-Men: The Last Stand on the old Tomatometer...
I’m pretty sure what he means is that Thanos is Rey’s father. He’s talking about the Star Wars crossover
It was an even bigger departure from the comics than expected, but yeah, it was good
Just thinking recently about saving up to build my first dedicated gaming PC and starting to research.
I hope you’ll agree that getting developers to think “What if this were a girl?” rather than assuming a male default is a very good thing for gaming.
I never really thought of X as linear, but I suppose there are sections that fit that bill before you get the airship. At the same time, X has way more off the beaten path things to explore than XIII did along with a better plot, battle mechanics and characters. I’m not entirely sure it fits in the same category as…
Actually, take the women out and it reminds me of this:
