Me too, I loved the Halloween movies as a teen, although I agree in general that the franchise is scarier the less Michael is explained. At the same time I don’t really see that as a problem as just a natural part of horror.

I had always been led to believe that Carpenter planned for the movies in the anthology series to be connected in some way though. Sort of a proto shared universe. So I think Michael would have ended up getting some kind of explanation under the original plan regardless
