they really were narcissistic—with some of the articles it was really disappointing how nasty the comments section was

I’ve had the same issue with the commenters—every now and then there would be an article where the vast majority of regular commenters would just be falling over themselves to prove that they are objectively awful people

And “I’m the woman who slept with your husband (and I’m not sorry)“

Why would you be paid if they never published it?

The commenters there had a tendency to be...oh, I guess “hideous” wouldn’t be too strong.
