Live by the straight-razor, die by the straight-razor.

Saw one a few hours ago as an album cover, guess it was real then!

Shit I must have skimmed over that part, that is good news. Unless they bend more to try and get back in...

push the congregation towards American Heritage Girl troops, an alternative to the secular Girl Scouts that was founded in 1995.

How have I never seen this?! Thank you my friend.

Yeah a twitch message could work for the very young/oblivious, or occasionally snap someone on the edge back to reality. The most obsessive fans would still create a mental-workaround for their favourites, but that’s true of anything I guess.

Yes please :)

I don’t see much chance of it happening at all. Even with being a totally reasonable thing to say I’d imagine some fans (even ones who are not delusional) will see it as unfriendly/cold/arrogant to say it up front.

A quick googling suggest it might be vaguely similar, but I’m not sure.

Has Trump claimed god is speaking to him yet?

A convoluted system of beards and divorces it is then!

thanks

So he wanted $50 billion more for defense but got $25 billion, if I’m reading that right?

Once again, most of your reply trying to convince me of some far-ranging point about the viability of the concept of cultural appropriation. When my point in joining this discussion was simply that the cowboy hat is not comparable to the war-bonnet (for obvious reasons laid out in my second reply). You can’t see how

How the fuck is shooting the PASSENGER a proper response to a car backing towards you? There’s not even remotely a justification for that.

Who else would you but them? Why would you even want me to be the one answering this? I wasn’t calling you out on the entire concept of culturally appropriation. Frankly I don’t know at all where the ‘line’ is drawn beyond clear-cut cases like this, that’s why I generally listen to people who have researched/studied

Let me make it clearer. Doing an exact definition that accounts for every applicable item so would take ages to hammer out, and require lots of study and discussion and background reading, and so would be a major pain in the ass. When I am king I will be happy to do so and present you with the finished copy :).

If I were king I’d hire a council of learned anthropologists to help me define those cultural categories. Pre-mass media isn’t an issue to me, I agreed with you that the media proliferation created the cowboy hat as a cultural symbol. Pre-capitalism isn’t the issue for me either, but whether the items were for sale to

Bump this one to the top.

Ok, so hat used across multiple regions and cultures is turned into a cultural symbol for one region through media proliferation, no arguments there. This differs in that it was never exclusive to that regions/culture, and others never stopped wearing it. I’d imagine that’s why there’s no objections to to others
