The actor has said he’s Leap-Frog. I think Germain is mixing up the 2. Leap-Frog was the villain, Frog-Man (his son) the hero. However, in the show, he’s using Leap-Frog.

It’s not Frog-Man. I mean it is, technically, the modern incarnation. But the actor has said in interviews that he’s playing Leap-Frog.

I’ve seen somewhere that Bakula backed out because the script leaned way too heavily on Sam and he felt it took away from the rest of the cast. Build them up, then have Sam appear in a finale or be the focus of a possible second season. Kinda like how they built up Chuck’s mysterious father and then BOOM it’s Bakula…
