I’m sure she did call the police. A similar thing happened to me and I called the police and they did jack shit. They pretty much had the attitude of ‘we’ll take your statement but there is almost zero chance we will find the guy, call us if you see him again.’ Oh, thanks.

True, but you don't know that Instagram was her first stop....

Rob would be one of those victors that just hid in a tree until everyone else killed each other.

Please don’t think you did anything wrong. It is not your fault we live in a world where we have to choose between standing up for yourself and keeping a job.

Don’t beat yourself up for going with your gut. I’m sorry that happened to you.

That sucks, but don’t be too hard on yourself.

I’m sorry that you went through that.

Ughhh Kate’s words really resonate with me today. I was sexually harassed at work by a client this week and had to decide within a split second whether to stand up for myself & possibly lose my job or brush it off so as not to “make a scene.” I chose the latter and it feels like shit.

Rob looks really happy and this most unlikely twist might be the best thing in the world for him. I hope it works out.

I recently broke my nose, and that shit is fucking painful. I’m going to have to have surgery to fix it because my nose is pretty fucked up.

I just read up on her now and apparently she’ll have to have one of her arms amputated.

They temporarily shut down the show with no “we’ll be back up in X amount of days.” It’s more serious than they’re saying.

Filming stunts is incredibly dangerous, even in the best of circumstances. There are safety meetings, rules set up, areas cordoned off and still, accidents happen. It’s one of the reasons crew members have been pushing so hard to have stunt people recognized with an Oscar.

Ugh, all I can think about is that Twilight Zone movie and how those two poor children died on set in the most horrific way imaginable. How do you even live with yourself after an accident like that?

As many precautions as are taken when filming action sequences, when things go wrong they can really go wrong (See Brandon Lee and The Crow).

This is a horrible comment. I don’t know if he did take artifacts or not. He denied it after. But even if he did, this is still undeserved. Everyone does stupid and irresponsible things in their lives. Young people are notorious for doing stupid stuff they regret later. You sound like those idiots who justify cops

I feel like they’re downplaying his injuries. Getting run over by a car, while shooting a car stunt, doesn’t really mesh with the “for observation and treatment” statement. He’s incredibly lucky if he doesn’t end up undergoing major surgery.

Before now, I never really recognized the very present danger of action movie shoots.

Unrelated to this incident but relevant: CanSecWest (an information security conference) was held this week in Vancouver. One of the organizers opened the conference by talking about “Slut Checks”, a term he invented to refer to checking for “promiscuous” (non-secure) wi-fi access points. Then he handed out little
