I think my fave part of Melissa’s Spicey skit was when she turned the press room into QVC for Ivanka’s crap.
“played, a little bafflingly, by Kate McKinnon”
I actually joined the party in replying to Morgan. And then, after her final takedown, sent Jo this .gif:
I saw her clapback at someone who was pissed at her for being vocal against Trump. The woman said something to effect that she was going to throw her HP books away or burn them, and JKR was like, “ that’s fine. I already got your money. Byeeeeee!”
Jk Rowling rocks. She has been vocal in the criticism of you know who.
And it looks like (from the trailer for next week) that this Miss Grundy killed the old lady Miss Grundy and assumed her identity, or something.
(The double-standard is reinforced by the way Archie’s relationship with a teacher is presented in a mostly positive way rather than the clear case of an adult taking advantage of a kid that it is.)
No matter how many remakes they do, Megan Follows will forever and always be my Anne of Green Gables. That being said, I’m interested to see this adaptation. Wait how did I never know Lily Tomlin was Ms. Frizzle, wow that sure is a big blind spot from my childhood.
....You were the Arnold of your class, weren’t you?
Like I said, just the people I know IRL. And I know quite a few who work in/around Broadway so I respect their opinions about musicals. And I too have gay friends (not sure why that would matter?), and none of them liked it.
Well duh. The only people IRL that I know who liked La La Land are the wannabe namaste yoga girls who sell advertising for a living. I love musicals, love Emma Stone, love Ryan Gosling, and I thought it was so boring.
Weekend box office numbers helped push Hidden Figures past La La Land to become 2016's highest-grossing Oscar…
