I get it. It’s natural to want to know more. But surely you can understand that it comes off as pretty insensitive to make that kind of comment. You could have said “I hope this show of support will help Ray Fischer to finally feel comfortable sharing whatever it is that happened to him” or something like that and I

As other people have said, it’s fascinating how you think people keep tabs on what your comments say from one day to the next. And you still chose to make a shitty dismissive victim-blaming comment in light of incredibly strong evidence that Fisher had a case all along. But then we already know you think false rape

No, I can believe it, because you in particular are incredibly disingenuous and performative. You’ve seen me comment on these stories before and you could quite reasonably know this isn’t my first reaction to this story. I’ve said explicitly in the past that I believe Fisher had bad experiences with these people.

-10 points for lack of username/comment synergy

Do we not think that Fisher almost definitely is aware of this? He clearly has his reasons for not providing details, whether they are legal or personal in nature.

Indeed. Though I also agree with recognitions and some of the other commenters that it’s pretty uncool to mock Fischer for not providing those details, especially in response to an article that corroborates his experience with Whedon. You can say that you’d like to know more before throwing your support behind him

In college a friend of mine wrote 2/3 of a spec script for an Adam Sandler movie where he plays a guy who is born as an adult after his mother is pregnant with him for 30+ years.

I would agree with you that Fischer doesn’t owe the public any details if he doesn’t want to give them. But if he’s going to talk about the issue publicly and ask people for their support, providing those details would clearly make people a lot more willing to give that support. Not everyone knows all the industry

“he doesn’t really owe us details”

For every super-fast gestation we see in genre media, another woman is pregnant for like six years.

“...but it’s been known he did it because she was pregnant for a long time.”

Thing is, he doesn’t really owe us details - it’s an open secret that Joss Whedon is a piece of crap. We didn’t know the details of him firing Charisma, but it’s been known he did it because she was pregnant for a long time. And his ex-wife wrote an open letter a few years back detailing some of his abuse and

See, Ray? These are called details.

“Those are people that I’ve been held back from confronting, by wiser people in the room.”

With a good director, on a good movie, every little detail is considered and adds something to the story. Most of it won’t be consciously noticed, but it contributes to the overall feel of a scene even when it doesn’t stand out. Giving characters backstory that the viewer will never really hear also helps actors

  • This is an important film

I’m just guessing here, but I think it’s because this version of the Joker is actually younger than the version that appeared in Suicide Squad. See, he’s like Merlin, travelling backwards through time. He has already experienced the Darkseid apocalypse, and tries to warn Batman about it, but Batman won’t listen to him

I want to (but am too lazy to actually do so) make a Twitter account called Snyder Cut Reactions that posts things like “kinda surprised by the scene where Superman cuts off Deathstroke’s ears while listening to ‘Stuck in the Middle With You’”

it’s so funny how he’s absolutely committed about certain things, but shrugs his shoulders and doesn’t seem to have any idea or interest in why a character looks a certain way.
