I am sure part of that round of applause for Stan was about expressing condolences that Joan passed away. I am actually surprised he was on the set so soon, although he has always been a workaholic
Have you heard of “Half Life: Source” or “Black Mesa”?
never heard of it
Thanks dude, didn’t see that in the 50 other replies about it. You’re sure proving your worth today
wow, I had never heard of that in any of the 48 replies before yours. Thanks for the tip!
In the interest of giving her the benefit of the doubt, I will just mention that one of the kids I work with has a different sort of immune system disorder that results in a reduced white blood sell count and her family wears gloves during mealtimes, not because they are worried of catching her disorder (it is not…
Thanks, didn’t realize from the 47 other comments
There’s some pretty direct foreshadowing to Wizard and Glass in Tull. Or from Roland’s perspective remembering. Sheb was also the piano player at the Traveler’s Rest in Hambry in addition to playing at Allie’s bar. He didn’t play a big part in that story, but Roland recognized him from his time there. For his part,…
Yeah I’m aware of Black Mesa, and it is why Valve would actually hopefully never do a remaster cause they’d have to kill it. That said, fan projects are cool and all but they don’t have the same cachet as official remasters.
“especially with that high definition pack stuff a while back”
Yeah, but fan projects are one thing, I’d like Valve to do a remaster
I think original Half-Life could use the full remaster treatment honestly. Such a perfectly designed game, and it is aging surprising well, especially with that high definition pack stuff a while back, but I’d buy the shit out of a proper remaster for modern machines.
Yeah I suppose, but the same could be said about any part of the story. Why do you think Tull specifically?
It seems like they’re not doing the Tull stuff, which makes sense cause this is a sequel and events are going to take a different course.
Honestly the emphasis in both trailers so far has been on CGI action scenes and that’s a bit worrying. In my opinion, like all great fantasy, it is the interesting characters and the deep lore that makes the book series so good. From what I can tell, they are hampered in their ability to exploit the deep lore by…
I believe the critique is that out of 16 major motion pictures since 2008, Marvel Studios has had 0 where the lead is anything but a straight white dude. For this particular film, they went on a back patting, cookie requesting, self congratulating tour about how they were finally producing a film with lots of…
seems like OP just doesn’t understand what the big deal is. We should have been satisfied when we got Long Duk Dong and left it at that
It’s the how and why that I’m concerned with.
I dunno dude, the article pretty clearly lays out how Hollywood could win and it is coincidentally what #Oscarssowhite was about and what people have been saying for decades
