What unsold inventory?

That’s a weird way of doing math. Do they actually lose $4,000 on every car, or is it that $359 million spread out over all the cars they sold, comes out to a $4,000 loss on every car.

It’s arguably a much better car than the Cruze. My buddy has the last gen and he was amazed by the fit and finish inside compared to his CTS he sold. Of course, all he owns is GM so his opinions of fit and finish are largely irrelevant.
