Romanian employers run US background checks?

Is it that much different from people who get into fights (or worse) over a sports game? Or cars? Or any other hobby or personal interest?

I agree - each parent should also get $6 million

When these playoffs began, an opposing executive texted me “(Hood) is not built for this,” meaning the postseason. Now we’re seeing why.

Yeah but at least Sony and Microsoft’s digital purchases have always been tied to a singular account. Nintendo fragments their purchases between accounts and occasionally locks them to single systems.

I disagree in this case, given that Kotaku was intentionally misleading with the quote. One should not have to read a complete second article to understand a single, key sentence in an article they’re already reading.

Great coach? Really? It took him 7 years to install a decent offense with the Raptors....is that supposed to be good? And yet again, in the playoffs his team’s offense devolves.

Evolution is not the same thing as scientific engineering. For maximum survivability of both the individual and the species humans mutated to have an internal temperature of x and a sperm temperature of y. You see it as an unnecessary vulnerability, but the current setup was a competitive advantage at one point.

Coach of the Year is an “Exceeds Expectations” award. You basically had to suck last year and do better this year. If you win all the time, then somehow you didn’t do anything.

Maybe it is just me but I don’t think Casey is a very good coach.

Also, the police in Japan are actually held accountable for their actions, so they don’t fatally shoot ANYONE (hardly).

Because, ya know, even if an innocent black person is gunned down, so long as SOME OTHER black person was committing a crime, that’s totally OK.

I think Kotaku is to blame here, since this weekly quote post is exactly a list of quotes taken out of context. It’s up to them to provide the context if it’s necessary. But then maybe they just wanted the outrage shares & comments.

Why should he have to go to an entire other site to post a comment? The fault lies with the poor wording of Kotaku, not this dude for reading it as is and commenting.

No, it did very well and got a lot of coverage and positive reviews. I’ve seen a lot of God of War pieces that say, “Of course, the direct parallel here is Hellblade...”

Wow. Spoken like someone who only read the quote, but didn’t bother to read the full article. Kotaku completely took that line out of context. Here’s the full paragraph:

After reading the link, it’s clear that this is a really poorly contextualized item. I guess Robot Cache will take just a 5% cut from developers. But apparently the system wants to allow for users to sell back their games, and will only give them 25% of the original cost for doing so. So the question is about why

Dude, that’s not the developer cut. That’s the resell cut consumers get.

I am really rooting for robot cache to succeed. Besides the ability to sell games, it offers up much more developer-friendly percentages on profits. That can make a huge difference for companies staying in business and also being more willing to take risks to innovate. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Don’t kid yourself though. The same shit happens in any city in Canada / US too. A co-worker of mine in Vancouver told us he gets harassed almost on a weekly basis for being asian despite being Vancouver born and raised.
