We love instructables.com (we think of it as the wikipedia of DIY- a good place to start, but not always enough information by itself. And it has all the same caveats. But the community is generally very helpful and has its own valuable sources of info within it.)

Right! I feel like in the current social climate, you have to take what you can get toward change, and then apply the meanings yourself if you want to experience any movement at all.

Except that mode of education doesn't work that great. We'd have way lower rape rates if it did, and it's part of the "let's blame the victim mentality." You were taken against your will, and you should have prevented it. Maybe if you'd been focused on item #57 instead of #96, you wouldn't have gotten yourself

Thanks for this right here. This kind of sarcastic comedic bit is what made Gawker publications worth reading in the first place. Glad to see it's not dead, just not showing up in articles as well as it used to.

Exactly. We could just stop having "friends".

Exactly. The number of products that do exactly this is alarming.

Yes. I will be doing that after children.

That's funny, because I'm an DDD/F-cup that likes the foam-formed bras because they hold me up better and last longer. I can't tell you how many of those stop at D. Self-Expressions, though, has been awesome in extending styles through the entire range of cup sizes from AA to DDD. (not to sound like an advertisement.)

Yes! I love that face!

I can't imagine. It was tricky enough to get them to understand that they move when I do.

Exactly. And when I try to go bra shopping in a brick and mortar most of the time I feel all the same things, since most attractive bras stop at a C-cup, and so few lines even come in anything above a DD. And whenever I wonder why it is that I have to endure all this (and then pay like $150 for one bra), all I hear in

Ew. Watching parents can be so frustrating. Children are supposed to be an investment in the future, not a weapon, a status accessory, or a source of cheap labor

Sure, but I bet neither of you had to deal with saggy boobs at 16. Ah, genetic remorse, big boobs yes, but I think my nipples will forever be staring at the floor.

I hate people who use their children as battering rams! I once encountered a woman who pinched her child's leg so the child would kick me when I wouldn't get out of her way fast enough in a department store.

Careful, those internet friends will drive you mad!

I've really come to appreciate the #squee as a necessary part of this website as a whole: Men do awful things - grr. Women do awful things - grrrr. Politicians do awful things - arrrgh. Picture of a very cute animal- oh yes, there are babies in the world and I can't go around blowing up the whole thing

I find a lot of great stuff at Burlington Coat Factory. And it's not quite the same style as the other crap that we see in stores. We've gotten lucky at Sears too; they seem to run a year or three behind everyone else in style. Also, as not a mommy and not an undergrad, to skirt the line, I tend to only dress up the

I was thinking the same thing. According to the source article they were drinking Baiju, which seems like the Chinese equivalent of Everclear/Moonshine. Maybe a contaminated batch? It also uses a fungal starter instead of a yeast one, and that got me wondering if there might be some ergot involved.

Because I understand the theory of sewing, but my hands are not awesome at it.

Same here. I'd rather see a place for moms & infants to have a meal together than hear Jez call on Hooters to update their marketing strategy (as overdue as that may be)
