I tip - and generally tip well (20%+ on the bottom line), but this [”but if I don’t fuck up, and you give me 10%”] triggers what I hate about a tip-dependent industry. Why should I have to pay you more than some arbitrary amount (is 15% enough, does it have to be 20%? do I tip on the alcohol if there’s a single bottle

The SO that stands by I can pity - they’ve fought worse fights that any single wait staffer has to deal with that they’re just worn down and thankful its not them. Why they continue to be with such a person is beyond me - but in a relationship going/gone south, the SO is just happy not to be the target.

I'm guessing your under 25 and a regular user of tinder for your "relationships".

Oh please do tell!

Exactly. "I'll buy it as-is for $500 and a tow to my house!" Buy a new battery and you're good to go.

Why not? These are great series - they should do them for a whole slew of industries - restaurants, car sales, IT support, dropping cable, sleeping with your mom, finding renters/roommates, etc - basically anything that we've all universally experienced and have frighteningly funny stories and life lessons.

In this case, I hope you never boil over soup and then have to iron your clothes leaving black char marks all over them.

Larry Ellison pissed away twice the much just to have his boat win the America's Cup. You need to re calibrate your definition of tall dollars in the corporate/celebrity/heads of state realm. The new standard is billions, not millions.

You - she definitely got the job. You think the guy twice her age is her husband? Wake up! :)

You mean they want you to do a good job? For money?

What about the lack of confidence ex-ball player that wrote this? Half the article is about him and his buried jealousy of guys that can play and the attention they receive. Plus he's verbose as hell. If a good editor cut about 80% of this piece out I'm sure Nike would've been fine. There's like 4 paragraphs alone

Someone is a pine box derby racer... :)

If that's your definition of "jacked up" you basically have nothing of substance in your life worth complaining about. Good for you!

Why would you want to force standardization? I like the variation for all of these items.
