I'd like to take this moment to appreciate Tom Wilkinsons recent versatility in project choices. It's really fun to watch him become LBJ in Selma, and then two months later smoke weed and talk wistfully about making love to a woman wheelbarrow position in the trailer for Unfinished Business.

For me at least, I first try to review it as simply a film, no different then when I review American Sniper. Once I get into the deeper intricacies of analyzing it, there'l be obvious differences between, say, Despicable Me 2 and The Judge, but for both I ask questions like "Did the story resonate with me?", "Were the

That's why I don't put grades on my reviews of movies or TV shows. Art is such a complex entity that I feel kinda bad if I summed up all my feelings on any project I review with a simple "C" or something.

Well, I feel like that's a totally reasonable thing to like. I know many have enjoyed the film, there's certainly a following for the feature. I myself just didn't care for the script or characters, but I'm very happy you found enjoyment from it.

I like dragons, Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore. The trailer looked abysmal to me, but honestly, the movie would likely have to be Sucker Punch levels of bad for it to be too awful with those three aforementioned ingredients in it.

Hmmm, I don't Noah about that.

The AV Club

I've mentioned before that I wasn't a fan of the film, but man did I love seeing that movie achieve such huge financial success. Especially overseas, where supposedly female led films don't do well, where it made over $300 million! Woo-hoo, go Scarlett!

Hey, I just watched Love Is Strange! Excelsior!

The decade as a whole? Definitely. Of the five years of this decade we have so far? Not at all I'd say.

Part Two of The Dissolve's 50 Best Movies Of The Decade So Far is up!
