I think the problem here lies in something that the showrunners have little control over. They're allowed to reference, but not use, the main Marvel heroes. Also, they can't touch mutants (Thanks FOX!! *sigh*). They can't have any of Spider-Man's litany of friends and foes (Thanks SONY!! *sigh*). For a show based in

Now these are points I can agree with.

This word you use, "demanding"...

I do get it, believe me. I mostly just feel that way about books though. With TV series, I've learned to give it time. I absolutely LOVE Stargate: Atlantis but at first I just felt like it was a big Star Trek ripoff. Honestly, I still sort of feel that way to an extent, albeit a small one. Regardless, I still stuck

This is actually (FINALLY) the teaser they showed at SDCC 2012. It's pre-production footage. Kind of like the Ant Man teaser. This was done before the movie started filming, so it's likely not finished or definitive when it comes to what we'll actually see in the completed feature.

Okay....I had to stop myself from replying to so many comments here. I'll just make this one myself.

Sorry guys...it was me. I built it.

Hahaha, "people with taste".

The reason the image of Godzilla is so important is because it's a VERY popular and established character.

I'll just say this: One of the biggest things people hated about 1998's Godzilla film, aside from the fact that it was a horrible, steaming, pile of poo, was the inconsiderate redesign of a character that millions over generations have loved. If Legendary is smart (crossing fingers), their best piece of marketing

I TOTALLY agree and have made that point many times. I've pushed friends towards this by saying it's an "X-Men" movie done right...

I've been saying this for years. 100% agreed.

I cast my vote for Ewan MacGregor. He's already got plenty of good sword/stage fighting practice from the Star Wars films AND he's a good actor AND he's not too big to shy away from lower budget genre films.

Not true, well, not for me at least. I couldn't name one American up there right now, but off the top of my head I know at least Fyodor (Russia) because he reminds me of Mr. Scott from Star Trek, haha.

What do you hold your heads up to? How about some of the finest actors this world has seen since the English held monopoly on the Shakespearean front!? Also, name 3 major science fiction shows not filmed in Canada in the last 20 years. Canada has PLENTY to be proud of!

I understand completely. I believe it's fantastic for Canadians to have such an inspiring figure among their already impressive line of inspiring people. However, this, in my opinion is something that means so much more than that. It wouldn't matter if he were Canadian, American, Russian, Japanese, African, etc. He

Personally, something about this bothers me.
