I know it's easy to dismiss due to the sub-par film made based on them, but Rick Riordan's "Percy Jackson" book series and it's follow up "Heroes of Olympus" are really fun reads and have an interesting take on the old gods.

I definitely get you on this comment. Allow me to plant a seed of thought. A lot of TV shows need time to really find their footing. Case in point, Star Trek: TNG, let's be honest, those first two seasons...oof... but after that? Gold. Farscape is kind of the same. The show didn't really hit the ground running. It was

You should really allow yourself a bit of time to sit and read the Miles Morales stuff.
